Hygienic Health Cleverness

Who We Are and What We Do

Learn life-saving hygiene practices and health maintenance techniques. Understanding that frequent hand washing kills 99.8% of germs with simple soap, proper water purification methods, and how to strengthen your immune system naturally through sleep, nutrition, and stress management.

Situation:

Many people pay too little attention to their health. Stress (it all starts in mind), carelessness, too little thought and research, too little sleep, too little fluids, too little fruit and vitamins, too little exercise, too little laughter, dancing, and singing,...

When people are sick, they often take painkillers. But painkillers only reduce the pain. The underlying cause remains. Therefore, it's better to see a good doctor to find the real cause.

Please always keep in mind: Only those who are HEATHY can shape their own lives.

Solution:

Health is MOST IMPORTANT for all your FEELINGs and all your DOINGs.

Your Feelings and your Doings are basic of your life and for success.

In other words: to feel well is basic for developing ideas for a better life and to bring ideas to practice.

Only HEALTHY people feel strong to help themselves, their family and others!

For clever people:

Do your own research about: How to stay fit and healthy. Clever people understand that feeling well is basic for all: for clever thinking, for clever doing, for a better life

Wash hands

Situation:

When you shake someone's hand, germs, viruses and bacteria are transmitted at the same time. If you then touch your nose or mouth, that all gets into your body and can make you sick.

Solution:

Therefore, frequent hand washing is a basic requirement to stay healthy. Especially when you eat it is important to wash your hands BEFORE.

For clever people:

(Young) children in particular tend to put their fingers in their mouths. Good parents therefore pay attention to handwashing and explain to their children why it's important to wash hands very often.

Hygienic toilet

Situation:

Toilets (and showers) are full of dirt, bacteria, and viruses.

Solution:

To avoid infections especially in the genital area, clean the toilet BEFORE you sit on it. For cleaning use disinfectant wipes or you can put hand sanitizer on toilet paper to wipe. For shared showers, use a shower disinfectant beforehand. If only one family uses the toilet and shower, thorough cleaning once a week is sufficient. Yes, hygiene costs money, but feeling bad and having to buy medicine isn't nice either.

For clever people:

Don’t listen to advertisings. Make your own research in internet. Find cheap and well working possibilities for disinfection … and share your knowledge with other people and your community. For example: normal soap kills 99,8% of all viruses and germs. You DON’T need to buy expensive special disinfecting items.

Hygienic bed

Situation:

You come in from outside, your clothes are dusty, sweaty, and dirty. What you don't see are bacteria and viruses. They're on your clothes, too. Now you sit on your bed or put used clothes on it, and all those unwanted things end up on your sleeping area. At night, you lie on your pillow, pull the covers up to your nose, and all those bacteria and viruses get into your nose, your mouth and on your body and work at night to make you sick. Children, in particular, need to be told why they shouldn't sit on the bed or put things on a sleeping place.

Solution:

It's best not to put any clothes or other objects on the bed at all, as this will ensure that the bed is clean and promotes a healthy sleep. (A blanket covering the bedding during the day can also help. However, it must be removed at night.) By the way: A good (hard) MATTRESS is important for a restful sleep – and a MOSQUITO NET is also EXTREMELY important for a peaceful night's sleep.

For clever people:

Just the thought of getting a good night's sleep in a clean bed is relaxing. (All starts in mind.) This also strengthens your immune system during sleeping . Do your own research on how strengthening your immune system.

Mosquito net

Situation:

Around 600,000 people die from malaria worldwide every year. Even mosquito bites itch unpleasantly and make it difficult to sleep well.

Solution:

Use an intact mosquito net. Check that the mesh is not damaged. Any damage should be repaired immediately (with glue, insulating tape, etc.) to ensure it remains tight.

For clever people:

It's not just about avoiding malaria, but also about being bitten by mosquitoes and not being able to sleep well because of the buzzing. Do your own research into other ways to avoid mosquito bites and malaria, such as drinking bitter black tea, applying lemon oil to the skin (be very careful when starting due to possible allergic reactions), etc.

Condoms

Situation:

When people love each other, they often become physically close. Chlamydia, herpes, fungal infections, and genital warts, for example, are widespread. But gonorrhea and syphilis are also becoming more common again.

Solution:

A tight and correctly applied condom prevents infectious diseases. A tight condom is a perfect protection against HIV, too.

For clever people:

Do your own internet research on relevant diseases and how to prevent them. Watch videos on the correct use of condoms.

Boil water

Situation:

In some regions, the water quality is very poor. Often, nearby residents can tolerate it, but others cannot.

Solution:

Always boil the water to be on the safe side or buy water in bottles or better canisters (because that is cheaper). Boiling kills all germs and bacteria.

For clever people:

Clever people – in case of doubt - ALWAYS boil the water for some minutes to be on the safe side.

Cook meat

Situation:

Flies sit on dirt and droppings. This causes bacteria and viruses to stick to them. Then they fly around and land on fresh meat. This won't come off with washing!!!

Solution:

Cooking kills all bacteria and viruses. So cook anything that might harbor bacteria or viruses, thereby reducing the strain on your immune system.

For clever people:

Do some research on the Internet to find out how to kill bacteria and viruses on food.

Comparing

Situation:

Many people don't compare enough. What does that mean?
If a toothbrush costs 4,000 UGX and a pack of three identical toothbrushes costs 10,000 UGX, then it's smarter to buy three brushes for the whole family for 10,000 than to pay 3 x 4,000 = 12,000 UGX each. That's a difference of 2,000 UGX, or 20% more.
The same applies to almost all items, such as rice, flour, etc.

Solution:

Use a calculator to compare similar items to find cheaper packages of same product.

For clever people:

The best thing to do is train your brain and do the math in your head. Start simple:

For example:

Pack A is 5 pieces are 8,000 Shillings, pack B is 12 pieces are 16,000 Shillings. If you buy 5 pieces you will get 10 pieces for 16,000 Shillings. Buying pack B you will get 12 pieces for 16,000 Shillings. That are 2 pieces more, pack B is cleverer. (If you don’t need all, share it with friends and neighbors.)
Pack A is 6 pieces for 12,000 Shillings (12K divided by 6 is: one piece is 2,000) now you can compare with packs of 20 pieces. Are 20 pieces cheaper or more expensive than 20 X 2,000 = 40,000 Shillings? If it is less than 40,000 Shillings, it is more cleverer to buy 20 pieces.Important: Compare only IDENTICAL products in different packaging units.

Why? Because a better quality makes a difference in price and a better quality can be more expensive but in the long term the cheaper buy.

Quality

Situation:

Too often, too little attention is paid to quality. A pack of cheap plastic clothespin costs 3,000 UGX, while one wooden pack costs 3,000 UGX, too, but pack contains less clothespins. Sometimes the wooden version is more expensive but plastic gets broken very soon and you have to buy again and again. Wooden ones are not so colorful but they are the cleverer buy because they last longer.

Solution:

Compare quality. Quality matters!
If the lifespan is several years, the more stable and expensive product is often the better value in the long run.

For clever people:

Clever people make research before they buy expensive items. Maybe a product of good quality is not available in Mbale but in Kampala.

Research

Situation:

Many people watch funny videos online. You could use THE SAME TIME and Data to do helpful research to make smarter decisions.

Solution:

Do extensive research before making important decisions. Use the internet to LEARN and make smart choices for your life.

For clever people:

Be careful!!!!
Be wary of untrustworthy sources. Many companies use information to promote their products. Especially when you can buy something, be very cautious about believing everything.
Check other sources and compare their credibility before making a decision.

Water

Situation:

When it's warm, the body needs a lot of fluids, like water. That's why smart people always carry a bottle of water with them when they leave the house. ALWAYS!

Solution:

Water is life. Stupid people get thirsty sometime on the way. Then they have to buy something expensive to drink.
Smart people always have boiled water in the house or buy water in canisters, since canisters are the cheapest.
Smart people have a stainless steel water bottle when they leave the house. Why? Plastic bottles are cheaper, but break faster, and plastic is harmful to the body and the environment.

For clever people:

Do your research on ways to protect the environment and you from plastic in nature and in the body.

Plastic

Situation:

When you leave the house, you might end up buying something or take something from home with you.
Plastic bags are everywhere in Uganda. Only in Rwanda is plastic banned. That's clever. (Make research about it)

Solution:

Smart people have a large backpack. It can hold not only their purse and cell phone, but also sanitary wipes, cosmetics, children's toys, etc.
A backpack can be used thousands of times. It can be prepared in advance and filled with essential items (e.g., a stainless steel water bottle, sanitary wipes, etc.).

For clever people:

Make research what backpack will be the best for your use. Is a safe transport of a laptop meaningful? Does a child need some pampers or toys or napkins? …. Think about all, make research, then buy. Make sure the seams and zippers are strong.

Smart

Situation:

Many people complain about politics and talk, talk, talk.

Solution:

Be smart and use your time wisely: Learn. Improve your skills and abilities... every day. Never stop!!! More Knowledge is the foundation for a better life. New and better skills are a beginning of a better life.

For clever people:

Please understand, keep in mind anytime und start doing NOW:

Improvement NEVER EVER ends!!! So improve every day a little. It is important for YOUR better life.

Knowledge is a start. (All starts in mind) Skills are first steps. (Doing makes the difference)

Doing continuously, concentrated and clever is the way to success and a better life. Think about: Talking very often is wasted lifetime. Lifetime never will come back. That is why lifetime is valuable and as clever to use as possible.

Other doing will lead to other results.

Start to think OUT of the BOX! Avoid time-eating-people. They kill your chances for a better life. Stop talking nonsense and use lifetime for getting clever RESULTS. When you are talking come to the point directly and precisely. CLEAR PRIORITIES will lead to clear decisions and better results and a better life

Nature

Situation:

Nature is our habitat. Every human being is part of nature. Therefore, every smart person protects their habitat as best as possible. Avoid plastic wherever possible!!!

Solution:

Even if other materials are more expensive, they last longer and are significantly cheaper over their lifetime:

  • Cutlery - buy stainless steel (NOT aluminum or plastic)
  • Dishes - buy porcelain (handle careful, it is much more hygienic)
  • Drinking bottles - buy stainless steel
  • Clothespins - buy wooden ones
  • Mugs - buy glass (it gets broken faster but is much more hygienic)

For clever people:

Make research about protection of nature because our children and grandchildren want to live in a healthy environment. And check why aluminum is bad in body.

Especially burning plastic is bad for health and environment. Please make research by your own and find clever ways to keep your home, your environment and the planet clean.
